Quicksilver Messenger Online Archive

Introduction
In the late 1970's and early 1980's, the Earth Mysteries scene was quite strong and despite most people concentrating on areas such as Wiltshire, there was plenty of scope for more local research. One such local magazine was called "Quicksilver Messenger", which covered the South-East area. As the editor, Chris Ashton, lived in Brighton, the research was inevitably concentrated on Sussex, with only a few articles of a regional nature covering anywhere outside the county. The magazine is now little known except to people who read it at the time and so with the spirit of accessibility inherant within the Internet, I am making available online, an archive of an otherwise hard to find magazine.

Firstly, I would like to thank Chris Ashton, who has agreed to let me do this. To the authors of the various articles, I would like to apologise in advance for not seeking their individual permission to publish. If you find an article here which you have written and would not like to see published, please contact me and I will remove it. The pictures are scanned in from the magazine, which are themselves black-and-white copies of photographs. While this doesn't make the resulting images very pretty, they are retained in the best state possible, as a full record of the contents of the magazine.

Now to the issues themselves. I have managed to purchase the first six issues, and I thank Paul Screeton for letting me borrow issue 7 for digitisation. If anyone would be willing to sell other issues which they have in their possession, so I can expand the archive further, please contact me.
